ADULT COMMUNITY LIVING SERVICES AND SUPPORTS: A SURVEY

 

The Community Living Research Project is conducting a survey of families of people with developmental disabilities receiving services through Community Living British Columbia (CLBC). The purpose of the survey is to help us understand self-advocates' and families' satisfaction with the services they receive and concerns they may have. The survey will also give us a picture of how different regions and groups of people are doing around the province.

About the Community Living Research Project

The Community Living Research Project is based in the School of Social Work and the University of British Columbia. In the fall of 2005, the Community Living Research Project began exploring Community Living supports and services for adults (19+ years) in four general topic areas:


  • young adults transitioning from high school,
  • residential alternatives to group homes,
  • non-residential supports, and
  • services for seniors.

This website includes information about:


  • the members of the research team
  • the members of the advisory board
  • what the research project has done so far
  • what stage the research is presently at
  • where the research is headed
  • reports and publications prepared by the research project
  • how and where the research findings will be shared
  • how to contact the research team.
